Forays

foray (verb)

“Foray comes from Middle English forrayen and probably traces back to an Anglo-French word that meant “raider” or “forager.” It’s related to the word forage, which usually means “to wander in search of food”.

For some time now, we have been making reference to our forays as “experiences” – those subtle elements of a place or time filling us up (or letting us down) in ways that remain memorable long after they’ve passed. For us, it’s all about seeking out unique people, places, and things that leave us with smiles on our faces and positive memories to share for years to come.

Our “local” forays will introduce you to our culinary adventures closer to our home in Ottawa, Canada. Thankfully, our city has a very vibrant and continually evolving dining and entertainment scene and we are lucky to have access to a wide variety experiences.

For our “faraway” feature we will be sharing some of our travel and foodie forays from across Canada and abroad. We are privileged to be able to travel regularly and seek out the most interesting experiences when we do.
