For as long as I can remember we have loved to entertain. Our place was always a hub of activity, filled with the buzz of friends, family, and pets. Over the years this has allowed us to mature and evolve as hosts. Where a quick trip to the local grocery store to grab a party pack of frozen appetizers once did the trick, we now take entertaining very seriously and place a great deal of emphasis on creating a unique and memorable “experience” for our guests.
This has grown – somewhat naturally – to a point where we now need an extra room just to store party supplies, have a collection of cooking paraphernalia and serving dishes that would make some restaurants jealous, and are seriously considering enlarging our kitchen to create more room for cooking and guests.
This all started out very small with having a few friends over for beer and cocktails around the bonfire, or throwing small dinner parties with a few friends. Most recently, these gatherings have morphed in larger, theme-inspired “events”, anchored on good food, great drinks, better friends, and amazing times. Some of those will be shared here in the hopes that we can inspire others along the way.
